The Nigerian schools will not be reopen on 4th August the schools will only reopen when it is safe.
This announcement came in a communique when the minister of education, Alh Adamu Adamu, addressing the press.
Adamu Adamu disclosed this after the virtual meeting of federal executive councils FEC in Abuja, the minister stated that
“The the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) can not determine the resumption date schools for Nigeria”.
He said, “he would prefer that Nigerian students lose an academic year than to expose them to dangers”.
The minister appealed to States that have announced the resumption of school in their states to reconsider their position so as not to jeopardize the lives of the students, adding, “It is not safe to reopen schools now.”
