A former aide to the former Senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Prince Ebenezer Adewumi Ogonmolasuyi, has been crowned as the 15th in Olupenmen of Upenmen in Owo local government area of Ondo State.
Oba Ogunmulasuyi, who originated from Ayiwowe Akinlola ruling house, is a among the the gransons of Oba Isiah Ogunmolasuyi 1, the 13 Olupenmen.
For over 3 years the Community survived without king since August 2017 after the death of Oba Samuel Ademolijon, retired army colonel.
In March 2020 Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu agreed to appoint Prince Ogunmolasuyi, as the Olupenmen after all five kingmakers cast their votes against Olawole Folarin, his only competitor.
