Dangote oil refinery has been listed among the top 20 influential projects surveyed in the last 18 months by the Project Management Institute.
Dangote Industries Limited said in articulation on Thursday that the treatment facility was perceived for the possibility to fuel Nigeria's financial change from a shipper to a self-continuing force to be reckoned with in oil refining.
As per the assertion, the PMI said 2020 Most Influential Projects list features convincing tasks far and wide and across businesses that accomplished tremendous achievements and affected society.
It said the rundown distinguished the significant tasks that had characterized the previous year – a year that has been drastically changed by the Covid pandemic.
PMI's Vice President of Global Engagement, Otema Yirenkyi, was cited as saying, "When it's finished in 2021, the Dangote petroleum treatment facility in Nigeria will be the biggest petroleum treatment facility in Africa and one of the biggest on the planet, preparing 650,000 barrels of unrefined petroleum every day and making almost 35,000 positions in and around Lagos.
