The Super Eagles ended the year 2020 in 35th position in the latest FIFA ranking released on Thursday.
The Eagles remain unmoved from the last ranking released November 27, which saw them drop three places after a lackluster display in November.
They also finished the year as the fifth-ranked team in Africa behind Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.
Gernot Rohr’s men failed to win a single game in 2020, recording one defeat and three draws.
And while 2020 has assuredly had significant interruptions, Belgium still succeeded in claiming FIFA World Ranking Team of the Year for the third consecutive time after winning six of their eight matches in 2020.
The year 2020 had 352 international matches due to COVID-19, the lowest since 1987 when 323 games were played.
France is in second while Brazil, England, and Portugal complete the top five.
The next World Ranking will be published on February 18, 2021.
